Beaches Corner
Some call this community Beaches Corner, others Beach Corner, and I have even seen Beachs Corner. I am going with Beaches Corner. this single-room school house at Beaches Corner was built in 1909 and used until 1965! It is currently in near original condition and is owned by the Beaches Corner Community Club..the bell in the tower still rings!
The district was combined into the Galesville-Ettrick-Trempealeau School District.
The Beach Corner Art Studio now uses the building. Nancy Horton and Ron Reimer operate the studio. It features the work of artists near the community, at this writing, some 14 local artists in various media. Ron does the photography and matting & framing; Nancy has looms in the studio and weaves rugs and scarves, and also tie-dye.
It looks like a fun place to visit.
The community is located in the Town of Ettrick in Trempealeau County, on US Hwy 53 and CH C.
