Pleasant Corner Schoolhouse

The No. 2 Pleasant Corner Schoolhouse is located at the corner of CH J and CH JJ, Pepin County, near Stockholm. It was built in 1867 and served as a school until the 1950s. It has been used as a short-term vacation rental but is now a private home.

Sarah Nigbor, writing “Pleasant Corner Schoolhouse takes on new life” for the “ Repub, ican Eagle” tells about two Minneapolis artists and musicians who bought the home in 2017.

A lady who calls herself “House Crazy Sarah,” who is perhaps Sarah Nigbor, also posted an article with lots of interior photos of the converted schoolhouse on her web page, “House Crazy Sarah.” This is a delightful presentation. On seeing it, I just wished I bought the home!
